African Hills dams are managed as specimen carp dams and all anglers must abide by the standard rules of specimen carp fishing as set out in the official terms and conditions and code of conduct. These rules are in place to protect the fish, the environment and the quality of the angling experience for everyone.

Pap gooi is not permitted at any of the African Hills dams. Only approved specimen carp fishing methods and baiting practices may be used.

All anglers are required to familiarise themselves with and comply with the fishing rules.
